Travel writing, when done well, is a joy to read. It transports you to somewhere exotic, giving you a taste of the sights, sounds and smells of exotic foreign lands. A glimpse of adventure, reminding you that there is a big world out to explore and here you are, probably just wasting your time at work or on a ghastly commute to somewhere grey. Seriously, what are you doing? Go on holiday now.
I love good travel writing and so it is always nice when you come across a new site that is both well written and entertaining. Kate Moxhay is based in Manilla but has written about places as far afield as New Mexico, Morocco, India, Borneo and Australia. And the Philippines, obviously. She is a full-time writer but this a relatively new website – although there is more than enough content to be getting on with and then bookmarking for later.
www.katemoxhay.com is a mix of published work, blog, writing, and even has a short story. It is worth checking out and then hassling her for more stuff. Enjoy.
