Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer
The original Red Dead Redemption is one of my all-time top favourite games. It is a work of absolute genius, great mechanics, visuals, story and everything. You also get to play a wild west gunslinger, which Rockstar happily made as fun as it should be. It is up there with being a pirate in Assassin’s Creed (also a top favourite).
It has been a painfully long time but Red Dead Redemption 2 is now on the horizon. October this year to be precise, so still painfully distant and only just visible, but it’s coming. Time enough to finish some of my gaming backlog and perhaps even leave the house a couple of times. To tide desperados like myself over, there is a new trailer and it looks bloody great. There is no way this game can be bad. It will likely be a lot more of the same sort of shenanigans as the first one and that can only be a good thing.
First, here is the blurb posted by the good people at PlayStation:
America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed. After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
From the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age.
Coming 26 October 2018 to PlayStation 4.
Exciting bloody stuff! Now here is the new trailer:
