Uncharted live action short with Nathan Fillion
I can’t believe it has taken me so long to watch this. I am a massive fan of all the Uncharted games and have liked Nathan Fillion in everything I have seen him in. This Uncharted film is a fan-made, live-action, 15-minute short movie.
It’s possible that I was a bit reticent owing to the words ‘fan made’ and although that is technically true, the fans involved are a respected director and a couple of famous actors. The result is great. Fillion and Lane really capture the characters of Drake and Sully. The humour is spot on and even with a limited budget, it feels like a proper Uncharted episode. Or chapter. Or whatever. The fact that the short film is great, is remarkable given how nearly every movie adaption of a game has been shite (although apparently the new Tomb Raider is ok and I don’t care what you say, I quite enjoyed Doom).
Fillion was born to play the role but unless someone actually makes a movie with him in it, he will soon be too old. So someone please make one. Or just keep doing these. Here is the short movie:
